Mood 70's
As you ladies may already know, 70's fashion is back! The 70's just may be the most iconic decade for fashion. Many trends blew through the 70's, such as mini skirts, bell-bottoms and of course the "free love" hippie look. The whole hippie style with tie dyes, frayed edges, folk-embroidered blouses, ponchos, capes and military surplus clothing all became iconic silhouettes. Did I mention ankle length Maxi dresses were also a trend in the 70's as well? The hippie fashion era came with a wide arrangement of floral prints and a huge assortment of bright colors. Native American inspried patterns were also a hit with frayed embroidery, patch work on denims, suede and of course my favorite leather.!
So on this nice warm day I decided to go cruising down one of my favorite spots, Old Town Pasadena. I went with my totally 70's inspired outfit. Pulled out my denim patch mini skirt, eyelet boxy top and finished it off with a pair of black ankle boots. In case you didn't know, denim mini skirts are totally in right now! It's a must have for this season. Big props out to Alexa Chung's collaboration with AG Jeans, making denim mini skirts a huge success. Zara, ASOS, H&M and Forever21 also have denim mini skirts at a more affordable price, so we can all be "in fashion" this season! My denim skirt today is like totally 70's style ! lol The denim I got from Zara is Bright Indigo with denim patches and also has frayed hem detail for that little extra. Then I topped it off with a bright red Alexander Wang shoulder bag. I love the bright red! It gives all of my outfits just the right amount pop!

Roaring Through La Brea Boulevard
Laid back Saturdays are always the best, especially when it's sunny and nice outside. I love to throw on something easy and comfy during the weekend, but I try to make it look effortless chic and stylish at the same time. I got the romper from a friend who works at Michael Stars design team - it is so comfy and super cute! I put my favorite indigo denim jacket from Sandro - roaring tiger on the back of this jacket always makes my outfit special and give bold statement! It was just a perfect day to hang around La Brea Boulevard which has many artistic walls, cool furniture stores, vintage stores and coffee shops.
